Reus Airport employees call a strike Standard

Following to our post , AENA’s Union representatives at Reus airport have approved to call a strike for eight days in the summer.They have proposed the following schedule:Saturdays 20th and 27th July and 3rd and 10th August from 18:00 to 21:00 ltSundays 21st and 28th July and 4th and 11th August from 08:00 to 11:00 lt.This calendar will be confirmed this week once it will be submitted before the AENA’s Employment Department.   Source: Abc.es

AENA clarifies Airport charges increases Standard

Following to ABC’s news of yesterday, AENA has published a press release confirming the agreement reached with the airlines that contains the following points:• The agreement provides an update of rates increase for the next five years (2014-2018). In particular, the document says:– 2014: CPI + 1 point– 2015: CPI + 3 points– 2016, 2017 and 2018: CPI + 4 points• The agreement sets 1st of March as the effective date for annual revision. Following with the Aena’s charges increase and our previous posts to this respect, ABC.es informs today about the fact thatthe airport charge increase will be CPI plus one point in 2014.AENA will announce today the tentative agreement reached with the airlines to absorb the rise in airport charges for the next five years.This agreement shall be signed by the Minister of Development, Ms. Ana Pastor and the airline associations ALA and ACETA. Following with our post of 18 April about the Tenerife North airport opening times, yesterday 20minutos.es informed on the fact that Aena has definitely approved the extension of the working hours for the airport. Hence, the new opening times will be 05:00-21:00 UTC in the summer seasons and 06:00-22:00 UTC during the winter seasons. Handling discounts: The Aena’s General Director, Javier Marín, in a meeting with an information media group (Unidad Editorial), confirmed they are working on the procedures to award the handling services to 43 airports of the net. Among the conditions required by Aena, he explained there will be additional handling discounts to airlines operating new routes.The public tender should be opened sometime between July and December 2013.The airports of Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Alicante and Palma will have three Handling companies. Madrid testing the CDM: Yesterday, Madrid airport started the first operational tests of the A-CDM—Airport Collaborative Decision Making—within this project, promoted by Eurocontrol, which is intended to optimise the air traffic management while punctuality and operational efficiency improve at this airport.Hence, the first DPI message—Departure Planning Information—was sent yesterday from the CDM platform to Eurocontrol. AENA’s workers at Reus airport will call strikes in summer Standard

72% of Aena’s employees at Reus Airport approved yesterday by referendum, calling stops during summer due to substantial changes in their working conditions.Now, the council shall meet within ten days to program and approve the schedule of strikes for next summer.Reus Airport has reduced working hours and work teams from 5th April which has caused the worker’s mobilization.   Source: Expansion
