Aena to moderate the increases:
Following with our post about a possible moderation in the increase of charges that Aena might be considering, laprovincia.es informed on Wednesday in the same direction.
According to this piece of news, the drop in traffic might have forced Aena to moderate the increases.
In spite of the fact that the law allows Aena to increase their charges with 5 points over the CPI, Aena would be willing to soften the financial crisis impact on the industry. Hence, they would have specified that these increases might be moderated as from 2014.
The option they are working with at this moment is to apply lower increases every year so that the airlines can accommodate to the changes but Aena continues to recover the investment costs.
